Claude Code integration not working when running from inside Tmux

Describe the Bug

Summary: Claude Code integration works when Claude Code runs outside tmux, but fails when CC runs inside a Tmux session in Cursor.

Environment:

  • OS: macOS (Darwin 24.5.0)
  • Cursor Version: 1.6.26
  • Shell: Fish
  • Terminal: tmux

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Launch Cursor normally (GUI application)
  2. Start a separate tmux session inside the Cursor terminal
  3. Run Claude Code inside the terminal (tmux)
  4. Claude code does not connect to Cursor

Expected Behavior:
Claude Code should connect to Cursor and function normally.

Actual Behavior:
Claude Code fails to connect.
