Describe the Bug

I had 5 edited files, and to move to a new file, I clicked on the right chevron button, and when I did it multiple times, it moved from 1 → 2 → 1 → 2 → 1. I wasn’t able to go to a new file

This is happening sometimes only.

Hey, thanks for the report. I can see navigation gets stuck looping between files instead of stepping through all 5 edited files.

Since you mentioned it happens intermittently, could you please share:

  • Does restarting Cursor temporarily fix it?
  • Any patterns you notice (specific file types, project size, after certain actions)?
  • Console errors when it occurs (Help > Toggle Developer Tools > Console tab)

This looks like a bug that needs engineering attention.
