Cloud agent unable to connect to GitHub after Teams downgrade

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cloud Agent (GitHub, Slack, Web, Linear)

Describe the Bug

I’m unable to connect to GitHub via the integration on the dashboard. When I first load the page, it shows loading and then flashes to “Connect” intermittently before going back to the loading state. When I do get to hit “Connect,” I’m able to execute the GitHub connection workflow and get routed back to Cursor, but I’m unable to connect to GitHub still.

Steps to Reproduce

Open Cursor integrations dashboard. Hit Connect. Connect to GitHub.

Expected Behavior

I should be able to connect to my GitHub organization.

Additional Information

I previously had a team account that I downgraded back to Ultra from when my team got smaller. I wonder if this might be related because I’m still seeing the old team showing up in the network requests. Furthermore, the error detail is being shown as “user not found in team.”

When I did the downgrade, Cursor continued to work, but when I disconnected the integration today and attempted to reconnect, now it became unusable.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

Yes - Cursor is unusable

Hey @Benjamin_Lee, thanks for the detailed report and screenshots. This isn’t on your end, and your switch from Teams back to Ultra is fine. The integration is failing on our side over a leftover record from an old, inactive team, which is why reconnecting keeps looping. It’s an issue we’re tracking. To get it sorted on your specific account, could you email us at [email protected] and link this thread? We’ll take it from there and get you reconnected.

Just FYI, I emailed [email protected] and Donnacha has told me that there is no solution for this, which seems to contradict what you’ve said and what was said in these posts:

Could someone take a look at my account? Cursor not connecting to GitHub is a complete blocker for me.
