### Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cloud Agent (GitHub, Slack, Web, Linear)

### Describe the Bug

After a Cloud Agent finishes, pushes a branch with commits, and **no PR is created** (usually when requested explicitly not to create one), branch handoff is broken in the UI and there is no straightforward way to find the branch:

1. **Web ([cursor.com/agents](http://cursor.com/agents)):** The created branch is not shown in the UI.
2. **Cursor Desktop — branch label:** The session shows the branch as **“New branch”** instead of the real name (e.g. `cursor/...`).
3. **Cursor Desktop — copy:** Clicking the control that should copy the branch name ( **click to copy** ) copies **nothing** (clipboard stays unchanged / no branch string).
4. **Cursor Desktop — Checkout Branch:** **Checkout Branch** does not check out the agent’s branch (no-op or silent failure).

### Steps to Reproduce

Start a Cloud Agent to make some random changes (should be automatically comitted and pushed) but explicitly ask it to not create a PR. Then verify the behavior in the description above.

### Expected Behavior

Should be obvious. All 4 points in the description should be fixed.

### Operating System

MacOS

Hey @ShreckYe ,

The short version: when a Cloud Agent pushes a branch but you tell it not to open a PR, the branch never gets registered back to the agent, so the app has no branch name to display. That single gap is why all four things break together - the web UI shows no branch, the desktop label falls back to “New branch”, click-to-copy does nothing, and Checkout Branch has nothing to act on. I’ve reported this to our team to fix (so a pushed branch is recorded even when no PR is created).

Your changes are safe in the meantime - the branch really is on GitHub, you just have to grab it manually for now:

1. Find the branch name — it’s in the agent’s chat transcript (the agent usually prints the push output and a `.../pull/new/cursor/...` link in its final message), and it also shows up in your repo’s branch list on GitHub (it starts with `cursor/`).
2. From your local terminal: `git fetch origin <branch>` then `git checkout <branch>`.

I’ll update this thread if there’s progress. Let me know if that gets you unblocked!
