Cloud Agents environment picker shows no matching repositories despite Cursor GitHub App access

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cloud Agent (GitHub, Slack, Web, Linear)

Describe the Bug

Product / area: Cloud Agents → Create Environment (repository selection)

Summary
I cannot create a Cloud Agent environment for a private repository I own. The “Create a New Environment” modal shows “No repositories match your search” when I search for the repo, even though the Cursor GitHub App already has access to it.

Account details

GitHub user: ekemper
Repo type: private, under my personal GitHub account
Cursor Privacy Mode: Privacy Mode (Active) — team-enforced (not Legacy)
What I see

Confirmed the target repo is granted to the Cursor GitHub App
Disconnected and reconnected GitHub from Cursor Integrations
Reinstalled / reconfigured the Cursor GitHub App for ekemper
Retried Create Environment and searched again for the same repo
Same result each time: the repo never appears in the picker.

Privacy Mode check

Cursor Settings → Privacy shows Privacy Mode: Active
Message: “This setting is enforced for your team.”
Not on Privacy Mode (Legacy)

Ask
Please investigate a stale GitHub App installation / repo sync mapping on the Cursor backend for my account. This matches the known issue where previously connected repos fail to reappear in the environment list after reconnect/reinstall, even when App permissions are correct.

Happy to provide screenshots, Cursor account email, request IDs, or any other diagnostics you need.

Steps to Reproduce

Cloud Agents → create a new environment
Modal: “Select one or more repositories”
Search for the target repository by name
Result: “No repositories match your search.”
Continue remains disabled
GitHub App status (verified)

Cursor GitHub App is installed on my personal account (ekemper)
Repository access is set to Only select repositories
The target repository is already included in the selected list (along with a couple of other personal repos)
Save is disabled when opening that screen with no changes (expected — selection already saved)
On the install target list I also see an unrelated org with “Installations and requests are disabled for this account” — that org is not the one I’m trying to use
What I’ve already tried (twice)

Expected Behavior

Expected behavior
Repositories already granted to the Cursor GitHub App should appear in the Cloud Agents environment repository picker so I can create an environment and continue setup.

Actual behavior
Picker returns no matches for a repo the GitHub App already has access to.

Operating System

MacOS

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey @Edward_Kemper,
When a repo has had the Cursor GitHub App installed before, the app can keep access on GitHub while the repo stops syncing into the Cloud Agents picker, and a dashboard reconnect/reconfigure doesn’t always clear it.

One thing worth trying once - it’s different from a reconfigure, it’s a full clean cycle:

  1. On GitHub, fully uninstall the Cursor app: github.com/settings/installations → Cursor → Uninstall
  2. In Cursor’s dashboard under Integrations, click Disconnect on GitHub
  3. Reconnect GitHub there; when GitHub prompts, install the app fresh and grant your repo (All repositories is the most reliable option)
  4. Reopen the environment picker

If the repo still doesn’t show after that, reply here and we’ll dig into this further.
