Cloud Agents + MCP (cont)

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Background Agent (GitHub, Slack, Web, Linear)

Describe the Bug

Hello!
Within the Cloud Agent dashboard, there is a place to add MCP servers. There is an option to use http. I tried entering my mcp server although that entry does not persist. I have a MCP server that I my cloud agents to use so they can access the infra they need to do their job. It’s SSE/http. Does this work yet?

Steps to Reproduce

Go to https://cursor.com/dashboard/integrations, click on “Add MCP”. Fill in Name and Server URL, click “Add MCP”

Operating System

MacOS

Version Information

Cloud Agents

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hi @blevinson,

HTTP/SSE MCP servers are supported for cloud agents, so this should work.

The likely issue is that the Team MCP Servers section on the Integrations page requires team admin access to add or edit servers. If you’re a team member (not admin), the save won’t go through, which would explain why the entry doesn’t persist.

A couple of options:

  1. Ask a team admin to add the HTTP MCP server from cursor.com/dashboard/integrations. Once added at the team level, it will be available to all team members’ cloud agents.

  2. Try adding it from cursor.com/agents – there’s an MCP configuration section there as well.

Other users have reported similar behavior – see this related thread for more context. The team is aware of the gap around non-admin MCP management and is working on improving the experience.

Could you confirm whether you’re a team admin? That would help narrow this down.
