Hi Cursor team,
I’m a big fan of Composer 2 and use it almost daily. Overall the quality has improved a lot, but I’ve noticed a consistent behavior that keeps happening:
Every time Composer 2 finishes a task, it almost always leaves a small “tail” — a few remaining things that still need to be done manually. It rarely completes the entire task 100% cleanly by itself.
For example:
It implements most of the feature but forgets one or two edge cases
It updates the main logic but leaves the corresponding tests, docs, or error handling incomplete
It stops right before the final cleanup or polishing step
I end up having to go back and finish those little bits every single time. It’s not a huge deal individually, but over many tasks it adds up and reduces the “set it and forget it” feeling that Composer 2 is supposed to deliver.
Would it be possible for the team to take a look at this pattern? I’m happy to provide specific Request IDs, examples, or even screen recordings if that helps.
