Composer credit banner won't go away

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

I was using Kimi 2.5 for a while, and a banner popped up, offering me credits to use Composer 1.5. “Cool, free credit,” I said, so I clicked Switch and used Composer for a while. But after a few minutes, the banner popped up again, telling me to switch to Composer. But I’m already using Composer. I switched hours ago. Clicking “Switch” just makes the banner go away for a few minutes, but it’ll pop right back up again a little while later. This is super annoying.

Steps to Reproduce

I guess: use Kimi 2.5 for a while, get the credit offer, click Switch, and use Composer for a while. I’m not exactly sure what makes the offer happen.

Expected Behavior

When I click “Switch” and use Composer, the banner should go away and stay gone.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, thanks for the report. This is a known issue. The banner doesn’t properly track that you’ve already switched, so it keeps coming back.

The team is aware of it. For now, there’s unfortunately no workaround other than dismissing it each time.

Let me know if anything else comes up.
