# Composer stuck on "Generating..."

the last couple of weeks, at around 3am CST, I seem to consistently get Cursor to hang in Composer at “Generating…” and it never seems to resolve.

Hey, which model did you use? Claude has been experiencing incidents frequently over the past couple of weeks, so you might be encountering those. Also, internet disruptions could be a reason.

Just a thought, have you tried creating a new Composer session and using that?

Anecdotal at the moment only, but I noticed recently that when Anthropic had issues, I seemed to have Composer sessions get into a bad state where they’d stick on “Generating…” after the API failure. It would stay that way from then on, even when trying to choose non-Anthropic models.

Creating a fresh Composer session seemed to unstick it for me. Might be something different for you, but worth a try if you haven’t already.

had the same issue and resetting the composer session resolved it. thanks
