Confusion about new (unlimited) Cursor Pricing

I agree you should be upset. It was a really bad move from them.

Even if the pricing model was almost 99% a better deal for us all, my account changed policies with no notice, & they are writing documentation after pushing to production the singular product of a company valued at $9.9 billion. That’s not good.

I was just saying to another person online that they could perhaps favor brevity in their replies a bit more, & maybe a few line breaks for clarity.

Whatever, it is a tangent I have launched that does not benefit much. & perhaps I shouldn’t critique you when you’re visibly upset. So let’s drop the subject, agreed?

Although I’m tempted to go on a philosophically endless argument with you about your concept that the dissatisfaction requires outrage that is visible & unwieldy. I mean, you’re essentially just advocating for Marxism there, right? (he said like he isn’t pretty much a Marxist…)

i am not upset. i took your comment very seriously. not to launch into a tangent, but yes this is calculated behavior after seeing uninterfaceable systems most places, with tools like AI to clearly shine them out. it is ineffective, and I struggle with it, but being abrasive and verbose to the point of nausea is still far short of what we need as consumer protection. so if its word vomit for another AI’s embedding somewhere for years from now, thats the way i look at it. eventually our lives will be subject to these systems, objectively, and boringly. and if we dont speak loud now, the API calls will pile. that being said, you are objectively correct.

The document has added a description of the rate limits for the new pricing: Cursor – Rate Limits

I noticed that the Cursor documentation has been updated with information about the new pricing and rate limits:

That doesn’t answer questions if users are cut off or moved to a slow pool.

They might be a startup with rapid dev cycles- but they shouldn’t be treating their clients like this. If I had to release our flagship software to our clients with so much ambiguity we would be in dire trouble.

when this feature come? I can’t see it

i just realizeI just realized that I spent an entire night, even more, just trying to understand the new cursor pricing.
