# Copy/paste not working in composer window

I am using Mac, when I start cursor I can paste text into the composer window - and then after a few iterations it just stops working and I have to restart Cursor and lose my composer history, this is infuriating - please fix!

Also sometimes but unrelated, pasting text will show up as a code fragment context and not be show in the message context, this should never be default behaviour, not least because the LLM will not give it special recent/relevant status over any other files in its context. Perhaps SHIFT+paste we might want to do that, but never default

Has this been happening from the start or after an update? I haven’t experienced such an issue.

Been happening for a few weeks, I’m currently on Version: 0.41.3. It also affects pasting into the side-bar Cursor chat and the console. You have now got me wondering if it might in fact be an extension I have installed.

Looking over the list, it might be vscode-pdf, Rainbow CSV, Diff (as I recently installed these). I will disable and report back
