Describe the Bug
As discussed here:
verified this happens in 1.2.2 and 1.2.4 with all user extensions uninstalled, as well as all git related extensions disabled.
This is making my laptop run hot and more importantly, killing the battery. While Cursor is technically usable, I cannot use it like this. I’ve gone back to 1.1.7
Steps to Reproduce
just run cursor 1.2.x
Expected Behavior
should not be constantly and repeatedly parsing git show output, especially not on huge merge commits
Operating System
Linux
