Pinned Chats

You can now pin chats to the top of the agent sidebar for future reference!

How it works

In the agent sidebar, you can now pin any chat to keep it at the top. Useful for:

  • Ongoing chats you return to frequently
  • Referencing conversations with important context
  • Chats you want quick access to across sessions

We’d love your feedback!

  • What kinds of chats are you pinning?
  • How does this fit into how you organize your work in Cursor?
  • What improvements would you suggest to further improve Chat discoverability?

If you’ve found a bug, please post it in Bug Reports instead, so we can track and address it properly, but also feel free to drop a link to it in this thread for visibility.

I HATE, HATE, HATE.. When you do these UI changes and force me into them, and like flash that revert to old but was too slow and then I need to figure out what is this..

Ok, now I got the chat back to the right side, but how do I get the chat+agents to be one side bar so that it’s chat top of agents, I don’t want have so hugely wide things for these…

I can hide the agents, but then the chat is not like it used to as there’s this agents thing..

So make ability to have chat+agents in one column and ability to select is agents/chat top/bottom..

Oh and now one of the windows has the normal bottom bar.. others don’t.. and if I swap I still don’t get it back.. FFS. Where is that now..

LOL. View → Appereance → Status bar was toggled.. but clicked it and it came visible and stayed toggled on..
