Cursor 3.5.17 removed Keep/Undo and applies Agent changes directly

Hey, common question after the update. In the popup it’s called Auto Keep, but in settings it’s Inline Diffs, so that’s where the confusion comes from. If you search in the standard VS Code Settings, you won’t find it. These options are only in Cursor Settings.

What to do:

  • Open Cursor Settings (not VS Code Settings): Ctrl+Shift+J or Cmd+,
  • Go to Agents > Applying Changes
  • Turn on Inline Diffs

If Keep or Undo still don’t show up, turn Inline Diffs off, turn it back on, and restart Cursor.
