Cursor Agent with GPT-5 has a tendency to call applypatch

I have seen this quite a lot lately with cursor agent:

Cursor agent fails to edit and the falls back to applypatch which is a binary that exists nowhere according to my searching and is just part of git.

Have any other people seen this? Is this a bug in the editing system prompt cursor agent has?
