Environment: Cursor Agents on macOS, managing several agent tasks across separate Git worktrees.
When coordinating multiple development and release tasks, the Cursor Agents interface frequently makes it difficult to confirm which task and workspace are active.
Issues observed:
- Clicking a pinned sidebar task sometimes fails silently or leaves a different task open.
- The “Search agents” task switcher sometimes remains open after selecting a task and continues capturing input.
- It is difficult to distinguish a prompt that is still drafted from one that was actually submitted and is processing.
- Completion chimes do not clearly identify which task completed or whether it succeeded, failed, or needs input.
- Long repository and worktree names are truncated, making similar environments difficult to distinguish.
- Shared workspaces can display large unrelated change counts, creating uncertainty about whether a release checkout is clean.
These issues add considerable time to multi-agent development and create a real risk of sending deployment instructions to the wrong task or worktree.
Requested improvements:
- Reliable task selection with an unmistakable active-task indicator.
- Automatically close the task switcher after a selection.
- Explicit Draft, Sending, Sent, Running, Completed, Failed, and Needs Input states.
- Completion notifications that include the task name and outcome.
- Full worktree paths on hover, plus clear repository and dirty-state badges.
- A consolidated release timeline showing clearance, deployment, validation, and rollback status.
This feedback comes from repeated real-world use while coordinating parallel development work and controlled Production releases.
