I am trying out cursor to see how it is and I’m running into a problem with another project I’m working on.

I am a mentor for students in FRC. FRC uses the wpilib extension, but they also have a customized version of vscode. If I try and bring their extension into cursor, I get that the extension is not supported. Will cursor possibly support extensions in this case? I’m worried that many places will start to all have their own versions of vscode and I can’t utilize cursor.

This is likely happening because the WPILib extension requires a specific version of VSCode that’s newer than what Cursor currently supports. Your best bet would probably be to reach out to the WPILib team and ask if they could lower their minimum VSCode version requirement - this would let you install it in Cursor
