when I enable the new chat in editor, and want to send terminal content with [Add to Chat] button to active chat, the whole chat may just jump to pane layout, similar thing happens when the active chat is in a pane, doesn’t happen when only allow chat in pane.
Steps to Reproduce
enable allow chat in editor, have a conversation with it and add some context from terminal to it. doen’t happen everytime but quite often.
Expected Behavior
chat keep where it is, not randomly shift between layout

Hey, thanks for the report. This looks like a bug with the chat-in-editor feature. There are a few known issues with switching the layout.
Can you check a couple things:
Does the issue reproduce on the stable version (not pre-release)?
Does the same thing happen when adding content from other sources, or only when using “Add to Chat” from the terminal?
If it turns out this also happens on the stable version, I’ll file a ticket for the team, since this specific issue with terminal content isn’t being tracked separately yet.
I have seen this since the 1.x version, but I didn’t confirm for the latest stable version specifically, switching versions back in cursor is not very handy 2. seems only happens with Add to Chat from terminal, from another editer tab looks fine
