# Cursor crashes every time I open it

### Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

### Describe the Bug

Whenever I open Cursor, the application only stays visible for about 1–2 seconds before it automatically closes. This issue occurs on the latest version of Cursor. I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling, including version 2.0.77, but the problem still persists.

### Steps to Reproduce

Open the App

### Expected Behavior

Cursor crashes every time

### Operating System

Windows 10/11

### Current Cursor Version (Menu → About Cursor → Copy)

Version: Lastest Version

### Does this stop you from using Cursor

Yes - Cursor is unusable

Download the latest stable version from [Download · Cursor](https://cursor.com/download)  
If that doesn’t resolve it, try running `cursor --disable-extensions` from command line to rule out extension issues
