Cursor deleting all file code today

Describe the Bug

cursor keeps deleting today files, completely removing all the code for it! when asking why, it says that its still there on disk so i did what it said and reopened but the file was still empty ! so i reverted the chat to the first prompt and then the file is still empty !!!

when asked ai to restore it did from github but it doesnt matter if it destroyed days of workd added code to it that wasnt on github.. it happened 2 times with the new supernova model and 1 time now with gpt5 high. dont remember that happened like this before : ( this is a nightmare.

NOT TO REMOVE ENTIRE FILES CODE AND THAT COMPLETELY UNNECESARRY

Hey, thanks for the report. Could you let me know if you’re using any Cursor rules? Also, if the conversation runs for a long time, the model might hallucinate and do unexpected things. Could you share the request ID as well? You’ll need to disable privacy mode first.

hi this is unbeliiveable, i just checked and there are 5 rules added, but i didnt do it. are they added automatically when memories are enabled?
but when reading these rules i dont see why it would delete the entire files code : (

no it was first chat prompt with gpt 5 high this time that it deleted it

forgot to mention that before this happen with gpt 5 that ago i reverted the file deletion with undo. but this doesnt worked because i restarted cursor: ( this is serious nightmare because the code that was added is just gone and reverting doesnt help at all.

here is the screenshot how it looks how the file was mofidied: its just checkmarked = Removing all the code in that file . this is terrible nightmare : ( how can i get it back?
