Cursor doesn’t preserve command-line options when it auto-restarts

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

It seems that Cursor doesn’t preserve command-line options when it auto-restarts after an update. I run Cursor on Ubuntu 24.04 with a HiDPI monitor using the command line options --enable-features=WaylandWindowDecorations --ozone-platform=wayland to keep the fonts sharp. However, after every Cursor update followed by an auto-restart, the UI becomes blurry again.

Steps to Reproduce

Run Cursor with --enable-features=WaylandWindowDecorations --ozone-platform=wayland and wait until a new update becomes available. Install the update and let Cursor auto-restart.

Expected Behavior

After the restart, Cursor fonts should remain sharp.

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

hi @AndreyS thank you for the detailed post. We will consider the improvement of update restart, though this may be more of a feature request than a bug.
