Cursor doesn't update despite being set to "Nightly"

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

I have the Beta settings for Update Access set to Nightly, but my Cursor app version is 2.7.0-pre.148.patch.0 despite i.e. 3 being released yesterday.

Steps to Reproduce

(Not sure if account specific) - Update Access set to Nightly.

Expected Behavior

I was expecting Nightly to be at least in sync with the default release versioning, not behind.

Operating System

MacOS

Does this stop you from using Cursor

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

Hey, thanks for the report. Looks like the Nightly dev track really stopped getting new builds after March 27, and that’s on our side.

I’ve passed this to the team.

As a workaround, you can switch to the Default release track in settings Cursor Settings > Beta > Update Access to get 3.0.x. Once the Nightly issue is fixed, you can switch back.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Hey @Robert_Bouschery!

The nightly build update issue has been addressed in a recent Cursor update. Updating to the latest version should resolve this.
