Cursor for iOS: mid-run steer / Send / Stop & send parity (not only Queue)

Feature request for product/service

Cursor for iOS

Describe the request

Current behavior (Cursor mobile 1.8.0 / 39044): While an agent is running, sending another message only queues it. There is no clear mobile equivalent of desktop’s mid-run steer options (Send at next opportune moment / Stop & send), so redirects wait until the current turn finishes (or require awkward workarounds).

Proposed behavior: Parity with desktop Chat → Queue messages:

  1. Steer / Send — apply the follow-up at the next safe break (without waiting for the full turn), same idea as desktop default Send.
  2. Stop & send — interrupt and send immediately (desktop ⌘/Ctrl+Enter).
  3. Keep Queue as an explicit option for “run after this turn finishes.”

Touch UI needs always-visible actions (not hover-only), since Enter is used for newlines on mobile.

Why existing threads don’t fully cover this:

Environment: Cursor for iOS v1.8.0 (39044). OS version: Gap (not provided).

Hey @jsolly, thanks for the suggestion.

Two of the three already exist on iOS, just not where you might expect them. While an agent is running, a message you send goes into the queue and a “Queued” pill appears above the composer. Tap it and each queued message has a “Send now” button, which interrupts the current step and delivers that message right away. Tapping Stop while something is queued does the same thing: it stops the run and sends the first queued message.

What iOS does not have yet is the desktop-style steer, where a message is slipped into the running turn at the next tool boundary without interrupting it. That is desktop-only today. We hear the parity ask and I’ll share the feedback with the team!
