The more details you provide, the easier it is for us to reproduce and fix the issue. Thanks!
Hey, this isn’t a block on Cursor’s side, and your account is fine. It happens when Grok 4.6 gets sent under a personal API key (Grok 4.6 only runs on Cursor’s own infrastructure).
Fix:
- Open Cursor Settings → Models.
- Turn off any personal API key that’s enabled (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Bedrock), and make sure “Override OpenAI Base URL” is off.
- Start a new chat with Grok 4.6.
That should sort it. If you want to keep a personal key for other providers, just switch it off when using Grok 4.6 - it can’t run on one. Details: Bring your own API key. Let me know if it still fails!
