Cursor IDE UI/UX tweaks #5 Add persistent microphone selector next to the voice input icon

Add persistent microphone selector next to the voice input icon

Currently, Cursor only displays a microphone icon in the input bar.

To choose a different microphone, users must first click setting to choose before the list of available input devices appears, making microphone selection less discoverable and requiring an extra step.

Adding a microphone selector directly next to the voice input icon, similar to the model selector, would make switching input devices much more convenient.

The selector could display the currently selected microphone and provide a dropdown to instantly switch between available input devices, with an option to open microphone settings if needed.

This would make the active microphone visible at a glance, reduce unnecessary clicks, and provide a faster, more intuitive way to manage voice input before starting a conversation.
