Cursor Keeps Auto-Accepting Its Own Changes

I can confirm the issue appears to be resolved in 2.5.25 along with the reverting checkpoint issue.

so far ide is respecting the setting. thank you for the fix.

I didn’t know auto reopening the app after upgrade doesn’t count as “Reopen” But after I’ve upgraded to v2.5.26, closed and reopened the app manually, it seems the bug is gone.

I’ve upgraded to this version, but I still don’t see the accept/reject options.

Version Details:

  • Version: 2.5.26

  • VSCode Version: 1.105.1

  • Commit: 7d96c2a03bb088ad367615e9da1a3fe20fbbc6a0

  • Date: 2026-02-26T04:57:56.825Z

  • OS: Darwin arm64 25.3.0

How did you manage to fix this?

You can try making sure this setting is enabled and restarting Cursor.

Nope. The issue is still there. Version: 2.5.25
Will try to update to 2.5.26…

I just manually closed and reopened the application after upgrade. Before I did that, the issue was still there.

The issue is still not resolved in version 2.5.26. Maybe, it occurs more rarely but still happens.
Do I need to open new bug report??

I have not experienced it once since the fix. Yea, maybe you should open a new bug report because it may be something specific to your setup and not the same issue as before.

OK. Will wait for a next occurrence first.

Time for us to close these big threads. Thanks to everyone who got us to a fix and confirmed it. If you face an issue, however similar, on 2.5.26+, please raise a new bug report!
