Good Day, Reader!

you can see my chatter is on opposite side of default one where it should be…

My File Explorer and Chat is mirrored :neutral_face:.Strange don’t know what key pressed on key board… Wanna reset the positions how i can… please if you know let me know…

Hey, I can see in the screenshot that File Explorer ended up on the right and chat on the left, mirrored from the default. This can be switched with one command, so you probably triggered it by accident via the menu or drag.

To switch it back:

  • Open View → Appearance → Move Primary Side Bar Left
  • Or via the Command Palette: Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+P then type View: Toggle Primary Side Bar Position

This will put Explorer back on the left and chat on the right.

If you want to fully reset the layout to default, open the Command Palette, type Customize Layout, then click reset ↺. Alternatively, you can set this in settings.json:

"workbench.sideBar.location": "left"

Let me know if it still doesn’t work.
