Describe the Bug

AI chat window: type into it. sometimes after pasting text into it.

when the user types, the cursor jumps to the bottom of chat, instead of where the user is trying to type

Steps to Reproduce

type in chat

paste into chat

scroll up or try to type into chat above the paste

notice cursor jumps to end of chat

Expected Behavior

cursor does not jump to end of chat

also, naming your app Cursor makes it hard to talk about cursors. And vice versa.

This doesn’t require pasting content. It just starts happening. And then happens in any chat where you try to navigate to previous text and then type

Hey, thanks for the report. This usually happens when there’s a pending action in the chat, like confirming a terminal command. If you accept that command and then start typing, the issue shouldn’t appear. The team is aware and already working on a fix.
