Today Cursor has been not working all day, it will response to small questions like “are you there” about 20% of the time, as soon as I try make it actually do something it just stalls on ‘taking longer than expected’. This is mostly impacting the IDE, working through agents was not working earlier but testing before posting this and its working for the moment.
I see from https://status.cursor.com/ that there have been some issues recently, but nothing reported today. Anyone else having this issue?

The more details you provide, the easier it is for us to reproduce and fix the issue. Thanks!
This isn’t an outage. Your requests were getting stuck locally before they ever left your machine (the ones that did go out came back fine), which lines up with the 3.21.9 update you picked up this morning. It’s not anything on your end, and it’s an issue we’re tracking.
To keep working now: the Agents Window is unaffected (you already found it working). For the IDE window, closing all editor tabs (File → Close All Editors) and starting a fresh chat usually clears it, since the stall is tied to gathering your open files.
If it keeps happening, run “Developer: Capture and Send Debugging Data” (Ctrl+Shift+P) next time a message hangs, and attach the zip here with the rough time. That’ll help us pin it down.
