Hey everyone!
I’m a former loyal Cursor user who switched to Claude’s paid subscription a while back due to frustratingly slow request speeds on Cursor’s slower tier. The main reason for the switch was that the slow requests were really impacting my coding workflow.
Recently, my coding demands have increased significantly, and I’m finding it quite cumbersome to code directly in Claude (as you might imagine). This has me considering a return to Cursor.
Two main questions for the community:
- How are Cursor’s slow requests performing now? Has there been any noticeable improvement in speed/reliability? I’d love to hear from current users about their recent experience.
- Agent mode with personal AWS keys - If I use my own AWS API keys, would I be able to access agent mode features? I’m trying to understand the limitations and capabilities when using personal API credentials.
Would really appreciate any insights from current Cursor users or anyone who’s had similar experiences. The coding experience in Cursor was fantastic when it worked smoothly, so I’m hoping the performance issues have been addressed.
Thanks in advance!
