Cursor Projects - cannot add more repositories after creation

I can create a project with a workspace that has multiple repositories. The agent explores them, sets up the environment, creates notes for the project…

But then I want to create a new repository, which is part of this project - AND ITS NOT POSSIBLE

The project is eternally tied to a workspace, which has the repo list sealed after it’s creation.
In order to add a new repository to my workspace, I have to create a brand new workspace which includes the new repo.

However, this new workspace cannot be put into the existing project, so the only way is to create a new project, which has grim consequences - all the context, chat history, the .md notes, set up environemnt - basically the whole point of creating a project - GONE.

It would be very appreciated if we could add another repository to a project/workspace after it was created.

Hey @Oliver_Michalik, thanks for the suggestion!

Right now a Project’s repositories are set when you create it, so adding one later means starting a new Project. We know that’s painful since you lose the chat history and shared notes.

There’s a dependency here on being able to add repos to an environment after creation, which isn’t possible yet. Cloud Agent Environments – Ability to edit repo list after creation

We are, however, working on it.
