Describe the Bug

Sometimes when working on a web-based interface, when cursor wants to reload the page its viewing (not internal browser, not sure how its looking at the page) , I can see that its using some tool to reload the page. What happens instead is that the whole cursor UI is reloaded; the app “soft restarts”, shows the cursor logo in the middle of the blank app, and then the normal UI reappears.

Expected Behavior

The agent should reload whatever browser its watching, not the entire cursor UI.

Hey @ChristopherCarlsson, thanks for flagging this - it’s an issue we’re tracking, and it’s not anything on your end.

Quick workaround: add a line to your project rules (Cursor Settings → Rules, or an AGENTS.md in the repo) telling the agent not to refresh with browser_cdp Page.reload, and to reload by navigating to the current URL with browser_navigate instead. That refreshes the page without restarting the Cursor window.
