xAI says Grok Bot is now included with Cursor Pro, Pro+, Ultra and Cursor Teams, but access still seems a bit inconsistent.

I’ve seen Pro users saying they still get an upgrade prompt, while others got access later without changing anything.

So I made a tiny rollout tracker to see what’s actually happening across plans / platforms / regions:

No signup, no account connection. Just hit **I GOT IT** or **STILL NOTHING**.

If enough people report, we should start seeing whether the delay clusters around a particular plan, platform or region.

Disclosure: I built the tracker. It’s free and there are no ads.

Hey @zixiag_Dai!

It’s a cool tool! Just wanted to let you know that Grok Bot access is now live for all paid individual plans (Pro, Pro+, Ultra) and self-serve Teams. There is no percentage or region based rollout, so access on those plans should be consistent.

We are working on the rollout for Enterprise teams.

If anyone is on a paid plan (non-legacy) and still blocked after that, please reach out to [hi@cursor.com](mailto:hi@cursor.com) with the email on the account so we can take a look!

Thanks for the update @Colin what about legacy Pro plan users? I get an upgrade prompt even though I already have a pro plan.

Grok Bot is not available for users on legacy, request-based pricing without opting into usage based pricing.

Ah ok… would have been nice to have been included as early adopters.

Hi @Colin,

I am a legacy request-based Pro user (Pro Annual, $16/mo, renews 2027-02-25) and I also have an active SuperGrok Plus subscription on the same email. Both ways to get Grok Bot are closed to my account:

1. Grok Bot shows “needs a Pro plan or SuperGrok”, which matches what you wrote above: no Grok Bot access on legacy request-based pricing without opting into usage-based pricing.
2. Linking SuperGrok Plus ([Cursor - The best way to code with AI](https://cursor.com/promos/super-grok)) returns `supergrok_link=ineligible_plan` (“Linking isn’t available on your plan”), because the legacy Pro plan is treated as a paid individual plan.

The docs say SuperGrok linking is a separate usage grant that does not change the Cursor plan, so a legacy plan should not block it. I do not want to switch pricing models only to use something I already pay for through SuperGrok Plus.

Support (ticket T-G93165) told me the account is on current pricing, but my billing page shows request-based usage (“extra fast premium requests beyond 500/month”), so that reply looks wrong.

Could you check whether legacy Pro accounts can be allowed to link SuperGrok, or be given Grok Bot access? Is this intended behavior?

Hey @Xiaotao_Lin,

This is how it’s meant to work today. On legacy request-based pricing, Grok Bot isn’t available through any route, and that includes linking a SuperGrok subscription. Linking doesn’t change your Cursor plan, but the type of Cursor plan you’re on still decides whether a linked subscription can unlock Grok Bot. That’s why you see “Linking isn’t available on your plan”.

If you want access, the only option right now is to opt into usage-based pricing from your Dashboard Settings. Keep in mind that this switch is one-way and applies to all of your Cursor usage, not only Grok Bot. Once you’re on usage-based pricing, your Pro plan includes Grok Bot and the SuperGrok Plus link will go through.
