Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Describe the Bug

during conversation with AI, Cursor IDE got stuck after confirmation dialogue. I already reported this earlier, but the issue seems persist with the new 3.7.12

as you can see I can not copy request ID,

though I still have a button in the top right corner of chat.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Just speak with AI,
    sometimes when AI is asking me about something and I do not respond in time the question disappears and I can not continue

Expected Behavior

  1. Cursor IDE should not stuck

No - Cursor works, but with this issue

This is a known issue our team is actively working on. When the agent asks a question mid-conversation and it isn’t answered within a few minutes, the question can time out and disappear, which leaves the chat unable to continue.

The workaround you discovered in your earlier thread still applies here: sending a new follow-up message in the chat usually unblocks the agent and lets it continue. If it stays fully stuck, starting a fresh chat will clear the state.

We’re working on removing the timeout behavior that causes this, and I’ll follow up here once a fix lands.

A fix for the chat getting stuck after a confirmation dialogue is coming in Cursor 3.8. Please give it another try once you’re on that version (coming this week!)
