Cursor stopped working

Where does the bug appear (feature/product)?

Cursor IDE

Describe the Bug

Cursor says I’ve hit my usage limit while I only am at 53%.

I’m including my usage page. I’ve only run about 3 queries today and this error popped up. (edited cause the system bot keeps unlisting my post.)

Steps to Reproduce

Running any query.

Operating System

Linux

Does this stop you from using Cursor

Yes - Cursor is unusable

Hey, thanks for the report. I see the screenshot. The included usage bar is at 53%, and it resets on July 9.

One important thing. That bar shows your monthly included pool, but it’s not the only limit. On the Free plan, there are also short-lived rate limits that can trigger during high load, even if the monthly bar isn’t full. This message usually clears on its own after a bit. Limits can also differ by model, so you can hit one limit while another bar still isn’t full.

To figure out what you’re hitting, can you share:

  • The exact error message text, or a screenshot of the message in chat, not the usage bar
  • The Request ID from the failing request. Top-right chat menu > Copy Request ID
  • Which model you used

With that, we can check what’s going on.
