Hey, thanks for the report.

Based on your description, it looks like one of two scenarios:

  1. Codebase indexing issue
    Try checking:
  • Cursor Settings → Features → Codebase Indexing - see if indexing got stuck in a loop
  • If yes, try turning off Privacy Mode (Cursor Settings → General → Privacy Mode → OFF)
  • Or temporarily disable “Index New Folders” and “Index Repositories for Instant Grep”
  1. Network or config problems
  • Go to Cursor Settings → Network → Run Diagnostics - share the results
  • If HTTP/2 is crashing, try enabling “Disable HTTP/2” in App Settings CMD + ,

What we need to diagnose:
Can you share:

  • Request ID from the stuck agent request (Chat context menu → Copy Request ID)
  • Screenshot of the stuck state
  • View → Output → check different channels to see if there are any errors
