Cursor suggesting to erase everything

I am using CTRL-K in a new file with few content, where I have already applied a fix. Despite clear instructions, claude-3.5-sonnet and claude-3.7-sonnet are suggesting to erase everything instead of following the instructions.

Yup, randomness like that happens…

This happened to me a few times. I finally realize that maybe it was because i had made changes outside of cursor and it was not seeing them in the context. Especially on new files. I git committed and refreshed context and it stopped trying to delete everything.

However, I had to stop using cursor because the cursor client broke yesterday for me because puppeteer couldn’t be resolved. This led to agents trying to use a tool to get context, and then just hanging forever retrying calls to pupeeter, and then would timeout or best case it would offer a response that it couldn’t make the changes it wanted.
