On the Free plan, Cursor Tab completion has stopped showing any suggestions at all. The setting is enabled, but the “Cursor Tab” indicator in the status bar permanently shows a strikethrough.
Steps to Reproduce
Cursor Tab had been turned off for a while. I turned it back on.
I clicked the strikethrough “Cursor Tab” indicator in the status bar, which opened a checkbox-like selection screen. I didn’t understand what it meant, so I toggled the checkboxes on/off to see what would happen.
Shortly after, I received an email saying my Pro plan setup was complete and asking me to select a payment method. However, the app still shows my account as Free plan.
Since then, Tab completion shows no suggestions at all, in both .js and .md files.
Things I’ve already tried (none fixed it): restarting Cursor, logging out and back in, fully uninstalling and reinstalling, restarting my PC.
Expected Behavior
With Cursor Tab enabled, normal inline completion suggestions should appear while typing code.

hey @kisaragi, unfortunately, even the Cursor Tab has a monthly limit while being used in the free plan, I think that is the issue that is happening for you right now
Is this usage counter separate from Tab completion? Also, for additional context, I’ve only typed a few lines since turning Tab back on, so I don’t think I could have hit a monthly limit.
@kisaragi is this the view from the web or the app? There is a known issue with the actual % updating in the app :(( I would recommend you to check online too at this adress (could be a different one for you, that i’m not sure) :
@kisaragi oh.. sorry to have misguided you.. after checking, it seems that this usage counter is only for the agent usage.. and as of now, there is no usage counter for the tab.. this means you surely used all you tab included usage for this time period, hope that clears things out, you can mark the issue as fixed, I will pass a request to the team to potentially have a separate counter only for the tab usage!
