This fixed the issue for me. Thanks for the tip! 🙌
I added the padding a long time ago because I prefer some space at the top of the editor. Too bad we can’t have both but not a huge deal.

+1 this issue is becoming really annoying.
I use a split editor and can only view the suggestions on the left side. The right side is cut-off at the window border.

For Reference:
Mac M1 Max, 15.1.1
Cursor Version: 0.43.6
VSCode Version: 1.93.1

Absolutely insane that they have done nothing about this. This is day 1 of me trying this and there is no chance I will re-up with this UX.

Wondering anyone has every encounter something like this:

I have been having the same issue. This issue only appears in Jupyter Notebook. The preview works fine for me in .py files.

I found that there are a couple of related threads on this topic. It appears that there is no fix yet.

I think I might’ve solved this:

You need to change these 2 CSS classes:

```css
.cursorGhostTextWidget {
    left: 0 !important;
}
.cppButtonContainer {
    margin-left: 0 !important;
}
```

I do it via [this extension](https://open-vsx.org/extension/subframe7536/custom-ui-style).

I have also create [this tutorial](https://github.com/eduardohilariodev/monaco-editor-visual-update) to change more visual aspects of Monaco-based editor where I teach how to make these CSS changes work.

Thanks everyone for the reports here. This thread goes back over two years and covers many different Cursor versions. A lot has changed in how Tab suggestions are rendered since the original report.

If you’re still troubles or have suggestions on a recent version of Cursor, please create a new thread with the following details:

1. Your Cursor version (Help \> About)

2. Your operating system

3. Whether this happens in specific file types (e.g., Jupyter Notebooks vs `.py` files)

4. A screenshot showing the issue

5. Whether you have any custom CSS extensions or `editor.padding` settings configured

A fresh thread with current details will help our team investigate more effectively.
