We don’t share details about future pricing changes ahead of time, so I can’t confirm or deny whether the token fee will ever apply to Pro. If anything changes, we’ll announce it publicly.

Right now, Auto mode is the only way to avoid the Cursor Token Fee on Team or Enterprise. There’s no other workaround. Any non-Auto model request will include the 0.25 USD per 1M tokens fee.
For reference, Auto mode uses smart routing to pick the best model for each task, so in practice it works well for most workflows without needing to manually pick a specific model.
