Cursor Usage Limit not hit but can not use

I switch to cursor models such as composer or grok 4.6 and try to send a prompt. It says that my usage limit for “Other models” has been exceeded and I am encouraged to switch to Cursor models?

  1. Open a chat
  2. Try to send a prompt

Hey @Burak_Gundogdu,

Composer and Cursor Grok draw from a separate Cursor Models pool from Claude/GPT/Gemini, so they should still work even with “Other Models” used up. Quick things to try:

  1. Settings → Models - make sure Composer 2.5 and Cursor Grok are toggled on.
  2. Fully quit Cursor (Cmd+Q) and reopen, start a brand-new agent, and pick Composer 2.5 explicitly (not Auto) with Max mode off.
  3. Settings → Agents → set Default Model → Last Used so your pick sticks.

If it still blocks, send a Request ID from the failed send (chat menu, top-right → Copy Request ID) plus a screenshot of your Settings → Plan & Usage meters, and I’ll dig in.

Weill currently login is broken (Opened another ticket for it) so I can not do the steps you recommended.
