When I add my own API key, the model I added to the model list gets mixed up with the Cursor default models. How can I distinguish between them?

Hey, thanks for the question. According to the current docs there isn’t a separate label to distinguish models via your API key from default models: API Keys | Cursor Docs

Could you please share:

  • A screenshot of Settings > Models and the models dropdown where the mixing is visible
  • Which provider and exact model you’re using
  • Your Cursor version (Help > About) and OS

If you need explicit labeling in the UI, we’ll file a feature request. Also note: custom keys apply to standard chat models, and some features still use built-in Cursor models, so they appear in the list as well.

I added my Gemini key, but I can’t tell which one in the model list corresponds to the key I added.
