Cursor used to default to Auto, but I have noticed it has started switching itself to Grok.
I don’t want to disable Grok as an option, but I would rather it kept Auto as my default. Can I set this anywhere?
Hey @Ryan_9, thanks for the report and yes, you can set this!
Go to Settings → Agents → Conversation → Default Model and choose “Last Used”. That stops Cursor from switching your selection to the recommended model on app open and new chats, so it will keep Auto (or whatever you last picked).
I wish there was the option to select an actual model to use as default model - rather than just Last Used or Cursor Default.
