Did the double allowance expire in just half a day?
Hey, two different things got mixed up here, and they sound similar.
What disappeared in your dashboard is the 50% off for Cursor Grok 4.5, a temporary launch discount. It was always set to end on July 21, 2026, 11:59 PM PT, which is July 22, 06:59 UTC. Your usage dashboard shows UTC time, so entries before about 07:00 UTC on July 22 still show 50% off, for example Jul 22 03:16 AM, and entries after that are back to normal pricing, like Jul 22 11:18 AM and later. That’s why it feels like it only lasted half a day, but it actually ended on schedule.
2x Included Usage, the doubled usage limits mentioned in the tweet, is separate and permanent. It’s not tied to July 21 and it hasn’t gone away. The doubled pool for first party models is still there.
So only the temporary Grok discount expired. The doubled included usage is still active. After July 21, Grok 4.5 just went back to the normal per token price, so the same amount of work now uses your pool about 2x faster than during the promo.
