the UI update in 2.4 was terrible, i had to downgrade to 2.0, and now i’m getting this “Update requires” pop up in my face every time the window updates. now this makes the UI equally unusable as 2.4 updates. how do i disable this?
When you get that message, just update, you don’t have to update to the latest, but that version is now deprecated.

The “Update required” pop-up can’t be turned off. It’s by design for deprecated versions. Version 2.0 you’re using is no longer supported by the system.
Good news: you don’t have to update to 2.4. When you click “Update”, you can pick any newer version that’s still supported. Try the releases between 2.0 and 2.4. You might find a version with a UI that works for you.
By the way, what exactly didn’t you like about the 2.4 UI?
One of the big downsides in 2.4 is that you can’t mention the browser anymore?
