When trying to adjust keyboard shortcuts in the applicable page in Settings, there are four columns. One of these is the ‘When’ column which shows a ‘context’ for when the shortcut applies.
It would be helpful to have the current ‘When’ context of the editor available to the user somewhere. Perhaps include an option to toggle the appearance of this info in the status bar at the bottom of the UI, for example.
I understand you can use commands such as vscode.window.activeTextEditor from the developer console but this is a pain in the ■■■, and doesn’t actually give the relevant context in many cases.
I’m posting this quickly because I don’t have a bunch of time, so forgive me if this suggestion has already been contributed or if there’s a better way to solve this problem.
