My use case is building a custom ACP client and I want to prepend system prompt instructions without mixing them into the user prompt.

Hi @s_qx!

Prepending the system prompt is not possible today (never say never, but it’s not in our short-term plans). We suggest using Cursor Rules to inject agent guidance separately from the user prompt.
