Does Cursor Cli support ACP?

I really would like to see this officially supported as well!

+1 — love Composer-1 but would like to use it within zed.

+1, would love to see this happen!

First, thank you so much for this.

I tried today, I have to manually build the app cause the version 0.5.2 was not working in Intellij. After that the chat worked but the latency was like 2 min for a response. Using the model Auto (Cursor Default), and some times the response was

Unable to process your request because cursor-agent CLI is not authenticated.
To authenticate, run: cursor-agent login

But I was already logged in in cursor-agent (cli)

I checked the code, and if the command timeout, it will throw an authentication error. The default timeout is 30s.

+1 for ACP

ACP support would be great!

Please implement ACP! This is the one thing stopping me from going all-in on Cursor.

My company has purchased a Cursor subscription for everyone, but I don’t like using VS Code. It becomes sluggish when you open a lot of projects.

Right now, I’m using Neovim as my main editor with the Cursor CLI. If the Cursor CLI provided ACP support, that would be very helpful.

Would want ACP for Cursor as IDE portability would be great. CLI is not the same as working with IDE, and I love how Cursor works, except it being based on VS Code

Waiting for ACP support!

We really need it

I want it

ACP could let us use a simpler and lightweight agent orchestration tool in environments where we run lots of agents in parallel. Currently, the VSCode fork consumes too many computational resources and limit my environment’s capacity to parallelize more.

Please consider adding support to it as a community delight and strategic feature to avoid churns.

Hate the VsCode, need ACP to use agent outside of it

Same here. Cursor’s agent is the reason I stick with it — it’s fast, understands context well, and doesn’t get in the way. The only blocker for using it in broader agentic setups is the lack of ACP. Right now the alternatives that do support it just aren’t as good, and paying for another provider on top of Cursor subscription doesn’t make sense. Would really appreciate this being prioritized.
