Hey @Dins, thanks for the report.
Your chats aren’t deleted. Removing the empty duplicate hid them because both entries point at the same folder, so the hide applies to both. To bring them back:
- In the Agents Window sidebar, hover the header row above your projects and click the folder icon with the + (Open Workspace).
- Pick the same project folder you had before.
That re-adds the folder and should make the chats reappear. Until this is fixed, please don’t use Remove from Sidebar on an empty duplicate. If the duplicate gets in the way, switching the sidebar’s Customize menu → Grouping to Updated lists chats without project sections.
To help us pin down the trigger, could you try this and report back?
- Restart Cursor and open the Agents Window.
- Confirm the first project shows as a single section with your chats.
- Open a chat in a different repo.
- Ask that chat to read a file in the first project, using the file’s full path.
- Wait about a minute after it finishes.
- Check whether a second, empty section for the first project appears.
If it does, let us know which Grouping option your sidebar uses, and hover both sections and tell us whether they show the same path.
