On desktop 0.58 I can’t find Duplicate anywhere: sidebar right-click, overflow menu, the details panel from the bot’s name, or Edit Profile. Was it moved, and if so where? If it was removed, what is the current way to start a clean conversation while keeping the same profile, skills, and routines? I’m fine creating a new bot and pointing it at a handoff file if that is now the intended path. Thanks.
Hey @Ja_We, thanks for flagging this, and sorry the docs sent you looking. Duplicate was removed from the desktop Bot menu on purpose in 0.57, so you’re not missing it. The docs still describe it, so I’ll make sure that gets updated! There are two ways to start a clean conversation while keeping your setup:
Option 1: Duplicate from the mobile app
The copy keeps the profile, settings, skills, routines and avatar (but not conversation history, memory or attachments), and it shows up on desktop too.
Ask the original Bot for a short handoff summary and copy it.
In the mobile app, open the Bot’s menu from your Bots list, tap More, then Duplicate.
Paste the summary as the copy’s first message, and rename it if you like.
Pause the original’s routines (View conversation details → Routines) so they don’t run twice. Hiding a Bot doesn’t pause them.
Option 2: Create a new Bot on desktop
Ask the original Bot to save a handoff summary to a file in /workspace.
Create a new Bot and tell it to read that file.
Enable the same skills and recreate any routines you need.
Pause the original’s routines.
Either way, you can hide the original afterward. A proper “fresh conversation on the same Bot” option is something we’re tracking, but I don’t have a timeline to share yet.
